I came across Tammy Kanat’s artwork one day scrolling through Instagram. And I couldn’t have been happier. The abundant use of texture, color, and shapes is enough to leave you enchanted. Tammy, a Melbourne based textile artist, started her creative journey as a jewelry designer. But after enrolling in the Australian Tapestry Workshop, she fell in love with weaving and has been making showstopping pieces ever since. One thing I love about her artwork is how easy it is to work in a variety of different environments (e.g from Minimal to maximalism). I am excited to see what collaborations she has next. Maybe a home textile line. Wouldn’t you love to see Tammy Kanat rugs? That would be amazing!
