Colorful Photography inspired by Bo Kaap

Bo Kaap, is a series of editorial photographs shot by Elena Iv-Skaya, for Lucy Magazine. It is clear that her inspiration for this series was inspired by the actual city of Bo Kaap. Which is an area of Cape Town, South Africa formerly known as the Malay Quarter. From bold hues of magenta to lilac, I love how Elena captures the spirit of this colorful neighboorhood while still showing feminity and elegance.
